Rice and smoked sausage recipe.
1 green pepper
1 lb smoked sausage
2 cups rice (we like jasmine)
Dice up your onion, pepper and sausage. Fry it up.
I personally don’t use oil for this dish. The juices from the onion and meat are enough to keep it from burning.
Prepare your rice as directed. We like jasmine rice from Thailand because its supposed to be GMO and pesticide free. Since I don’t grow my own rice this is the choice we make.
Scramble an egg in your fried sausage pan.
I encourage you to support your local farmer if you don’t raise your own chickens. There’s so many reason why fresh, farm eggs are best. They taste better, free of hormones and contain more nutrients.
Once egg is scrambled, mix everything together in one dish.
