This one dish recipe goes from the stove top to the oven!
I love one dish meals. I especially love being able to take my iron skillet from the stove top to the oven. This casserole can be eaten anytime of day. A quick and filling meal. Plus it’s gluten free.
- 1 lb sausage
- 8 eggs
- 2 c oatmeal or oat flour
- 1 1/2 c milk
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 chopped green pepper (optional)
- 1 chopped onion (optional)
- Salt and pepper
Directions: fry sausage and crumble. Drain.
Pulverize the oats or use oat flour and sprinkle over sausage. Combine the eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix with a fork. Add all ingredients to the sausage and oats then mix. Bake for 25 min at 350 degrees.
